Grants are need-based awards funded by the federal government, state, or Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³». These are gift aid and do not need to be repaid. To be considered for any grants, students must complete the FAFSA.
Federal and State Grants
| Pell Grant | Up to $7,395 per year | Funded by the federal government, the FAFSA is required to be considered for Pell Grants |
| Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) | Amount varies for Pell-eligible students | Funded by the federal government, the FAFSA is required to be considered for SEOG |
| Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP) Grant | Up to $8,064 per year | Illinois residents who complete the FAFSA by February 1 will be considered; students must be enrolled for 15 credits per semester to receive the full award amount. |
University and Church Grants
| Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Grant | Amount varies based on financial need. | The FAFSA is required for Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Grant consideration. |
| Covenant Grant | $3,000 per year | Awarded to active participants in the Evangelical Covenant Church who complete the FAFSA. |
| Credentialed Covenant Minister Dependent Grant | Up to $2,500 per year | Designated for dependents of credentialed ministers of the Evangelical Covenant Church who complete the FAFSA. |
| Legacy Grant | Up to $3,000 per year | Designated for non-covenant dependent students who have a parent or grandparent who graduated from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³». |
| Church Matching Grant | Up to $500 per year, depending on church contribution | For traditional undergraduate students, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» will match up to $500 per year given by a student’s church in their name. A separate application is required. |
Camp Grants
| Camp Grant (prospective students) | $500 | Available to incoming students employed at a Covenant camp prior to attending Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³». |
| Camp Grant (current students) | $1,000 after the first summer working at camp as an NPU student $1,500 after the second summer working at camp as an NPU student $2,000 after the third or subsequent summers working at camp as an NPU student | Available to students after they complete at least one year at Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» and work at a Covenant camp during the following summer. Application and attendance at an information session required. |
