Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­

Grants are need-based awards funded by the federal government, state, or Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­. These are gift aid and do not need to be repaid. To be considered for any grants, students must complete the FAFSA.

Federal and State Grants

Pell GrantUp to $7,395 per yearFunded by the federal government, the FAFSA is required to be considered for Pell Grants
Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)Amount varies for Pell-eligible studentsFunded by the federal government, the FAFSA is required to be considered for SEOG
Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP) GrantUp to $8,064 per yearIllinois residents who complete the FAFSA by February 1 will be considered; students must be enrolled for 15 credits per semester to receive the full award amount.

University and Church Grants

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ GrantAmount varies based on financial need.The FAFSA is required for Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Grant consideration.
Covenant Grant$3,000 per yearAwarded to active participants in the Evangelical Covenant Church who complete the FAFSA.
Credentialed Covenant Minister Dependent GrantUp to $2,500 per yearDesignated for dependents of credentialed ministers of the Evangelical Covenant Church who complete the FAFSA.
Legacy GrantUp to $3,000 per yearDesignated for non-covenant dependent students who have a parent or grandparent who graduated from Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­.
Church Matching GrantUp to $500 per year, depending on church contributionFor traditional undergraduate students, Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ will match up to $500 per year given by a student’s church in their name. A separate application is required.

 

Camp Grants

Camp Grant (prospective students)$500Available to incoming students employed at a Covenant camp prior to attending Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­.
Camp Grant (current students)$1,000 after the first summer working at camp as an NPU student

$1,500 after the second summer working at camp as an NPU student

$2,000 after the third or subsequent summers working at camp as an NPU student
Available to students after they complete at least one year at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ and work at a Covenant camp during the following summer. Application and attendance at an information session required.
